On Sunday, the 15th, we spent doing laundry and exploring our new surroundings. We are staying in the Gros district, which as I may have mentioned is where the surfing beach is and across the river from the really elegant Centro District and Old Town. We walked down through the Centro District to Old Town.

And would it surprise you to find that we ran into Liz
And Margaret Anne who were spending a couple of nights here on their way back to Madrid.
We spent the rest of the day and early evening exploring with them. it seemed to be a big celebratory day for the Basque population so there was lots action in the streets.
Now please again no wifi at our apartment so I am still playing catch up getting these posted. Can you believe the only free wifi I have found is at our parking garage?!
