Santiago de Compostelo

Well we made it to our final airport at about 3:30 pm (7:30 am Vancouver time) about 23 hours after we left. We took a taxi to our hotel, very pleasant, and soon after went off to explore

It is interesting beginning at the place where we are going to end our 100 kilometer walk. Tomorrow we will go to Sarria to begin the El Camino on Thursday.



Our hotel has an amazing view of the cathedral as you can see! We walked up there today. The cathedral is so beautiful inside. The town itself is in a hilly countryside and the town is built on a hill. I love the narrow cobblestone streets. Venders want you to sample local almond sweets. I wanted to sit outside to eat (earlier than the locals) but it was bit chilly by the end. This is not the hot part of Spain!


The fourth member of our walking group,Patricia, has arrived.
