This was a stay in San Sebastian day. It was a beautiful sunny even hot day today as we headed into the Centro district. Above you can see the entrance to the Maria Christina Hotel featured in the movie Barcelona.

The architecture is so beautiful and elegant.
We checked out the market.
Note we bought a big cheese for 3 Euros today.
The produce we have purchased has been delicious!
There are always interesting statues.
We kept walking into the Old Town and enjoyed some tapas.
And then we took the walk around the harbour. We sought shade as it was HOT.
Lots of seafood restaurants at the beginning of the walk.
A little rock study above...
You go in a circle and you are back in Old Town.
I love the balconies and the flowers.
The above picture is for Ellen and Clara. San Sebastian seems full of well loved dogs. The Spanish aren't as conscientious as Vancouverites though at scooping.
I love these lamps...
We headed back towards home but we wanted to have a closer look at our favorite bridge after a bit of unsuccessful shoe shopping and a look inside the Maria Christine Hotel (obviously Woody Allen is on a different budget than we are).
Lots of separated bicycle paths here and having seen the parking situation I think biking would be a good way to go!
After enjoying our own tapas at home and some of us enjoying a siesta, we find ourselves getting into, the Spanish habit of late dinners. last night we dined near home on pizza and delicious salad with the best blue cheese and walnuts. Then accompanied by Irene I went to our parking garage to post my last blogs. I hope you appreciate that I am risking my health with car fumes to find wifi (wif-fee inSpain). Stay tuned for my report on Bilbao and the Guggenheim Museum and another twisty road adventure.
